JTS/WDS Bulge 44 - Starter Scenario AAR Turn 4

Turn 4

In the north, the goal of the 2 German Regiments has shifted to keeping all the US troops engaged to hopefully allow the southern regiment to break through into the rear and the big VP hexes. Most US units are disrupted so the Germans assault/maneuver to try to isolate the US units. The Stug unit makes a run on the northern road for the rear VP hexes and the results of this dash will be in the next image.

The Stug unit slipped past the US lines and shifted to travel mode and was able to slip past the Art Bn then recon/identify the 150VP hex is occupied by a US Eng unit. Then it had enough movement left to occupy the 75VP hex where it stays. Let's see if this generates any US reaction.

In the south, the German forces continue to move aggressively around the US Broken unit running into 2 HQs and an Art Bn trying to block - looks like last-ditch forces. Since the Southern pincer is the one that will win or lose the game for the Germans, the Div HQ moves up closer to support it.

In the US move more surprises/added units appear. Deep in the Schnee Eifel, a US Inf Bn appears isolating the German Bn. In the south, another US Inf Bn appears threatening the Div HQ. And finally, one more US Inf Bn fortifies the village in the center road. Starting to feel outnumbered…
